Recreational Programs OGC Recreational programs continue the Kindergym athlete's development and offers entry points for school age children wishing to begin their gymnastics exploration.

The Recreational Program focus is on three principles Fun, Fitness and Fundamentals. We take pride in offering children the opportunity to develop a positive attitude and enthusiasm for gymnastics and help them realize the rewards of physical activity. Children learn to work within small groups and master individual skills independently. Most classes operate at an athlete to coach ratio of 8:1.

At this level of gymnastics, primary attention is given to teaching proper form, technique and execution of skills. This allows children to progress further in their basic skill development on each apparatus. Children are encouraged to explore different levels of motor fitness development in a comfortable, secure environment. When children feel good about themselves, they are more likely to try, explore and welcome new learning challenges. Through our use of stations in the recreational program, children are introduced to a diverse variety of progressive gross motor challenges. The variety of apparatus used and skills learned provide continual opportunities for reward and foster increased self-esteem. Our goal is to foster a positive learning experience in a state of the art facility with outstanding coaching leadership as they continue their gymnastic career.

Written, individual record of accomplishment and awards are given at the end of each session. In addition to monitoring your child's progress through the Cangym system, we also invite all parents into the gym to join the last class of each session.

The OGC offers a wide array of quality programming at the recreational level. Most Recreational classes are offered in three sessions (fall, winter & spring) during the school year and are available in a day Camp format each summer.

Ten dollar ($10)/family discount for 3rd sibling, one time per fiscal year. No refunds or credits after the class/session start date.
