Registration FAQ's

  1. How do I register for OGC programs?
The best way to register is online. You can register by clicking the purple "Register Now" button at the top right of the website. You will need to create an account if you do not already have one. If you are unable to register online, you can visit our front office for help. We do not accept phone registrations.
  2. What is the $40.00 Gymnastics Ontario (GO)  Insurance?
This non-refundable annual fee is to register an individual under Gymnastics Ontario insurance. It is required for every participant. The fee is valid from July 1st - June 30th.  We cannot pro-rate the fee based on when you purchase it. This fee is a per-participant rate, not a per-family rate.
  3. The session has already begun, can I still register and will the cost be adjusted?
Yes, you can still register late as long as there are spots in the program and it is not past the registration deadline. The cost of the class will be pro-rated based on the number of classes remaining in the session.
  4. Can I get a refund if I withdraw?
Full refunds can be issued for withdrawals prior to the 48 hour window before a class begins. Within 48 hours before or after your first class, you can be refunded the cost of the program, minus the cost of the first class. No refunds will be issued after the 48 hour period following the first class. After this period, you are eligible to receive a credit to your account if you choose to withdraw. We do not refund or credit the Gymnastics Ontario (GO) Insurance and Registration fee. This refund policy only applies to our sessional/recreational gymnastics classes.
  5. Can I switch classes part way through the session?
Yes, you can always adjust your registration to another class based on availability. Please note you may need to pay a difference due to variation in class cost.
  6. If we miss a class can we do a makeup class?
Due to such a large membership, coach to athlete ratios, and a very full gym, we are unable to offer make up classes due to absences or other extenuating circumstances.

Recreational Gymnastics FAQ's

5 years - 12 years

  1. What should my child wear and is there anything they need to bring?
Any comfortable clothing (not too baggy or loose, no skirts, jeans, belts, buckles, jewelry). Long hair must be tied back and bare feet in the gym. You do not need to bring any equipment.
  2. Can my child go into a class of an older age category?
No, children must have turned the minimum age of the class by the start of the session.
  3. What does a recreational gymnastics class look like?
Class structure varies depending on the age and levels. The 1-hour Intro and Junior classes will do a 15 minute warm-up, then do three 15-minute events. The event may vary week to week. The 2 hour or longer classes will do a 30-minute warm-up, and then do 15 or 30 minute events. Events can include floor, beams, bars, rings, vault and trampoline.
  4. My child is already enrolled, how do I know what level to register for next?
The best way to determine this is to ask their current coach. If you want to register immediately, we suggest re-registering in the class they are currently enrolled in as it can take a few sessions to complete. You may also wait until the last class and you child will receive a progress report that will inform you of which class to register for.
