Gymnastics Foundations
The recreational gymnastics program is for ages 5 - 17 years and offers a variety of classes including
gymnastics and trampoline. All courses are lead by an NCCP certified gymnastics instructor.

Purple & TurquoiseClass Duration: 1 hour This class is for young children new to gymnastics or those moving up from a Kindergym class. Lessons will use fun & games to teach safety, landings, rolling, body shaping, balance, coordination, over-all fitness and becoming confident on all gymnastics events. Gymnasts will learn a lot of new terminology and a lot about their own bodies and what they are capable of! This class will prepare gymnasts to advance into the Junior Rec program and serve as a foundation sport for any other athletic activities your child participates in. Gymnasts will earn their Purple & Turquoise ribbons in this level. |

Red & BronzeAge: 5-12 years The Junior Rec program will continue to take a fun approach & build on the basics learned in Intro rec as well as some new skills with a focus on correct technique. Gymnasts will be safely challenged when ready in a fun and supportive atmosphere. This class will prepare gymnasts to advance into the Intermediate Rec program and serve as a foundation sport for any other athletic activities your child participates in! Gymnasts will earn their Red & Bronze ribbons in this level. |

White & SilverAge: 7-12 years The Intermediate Rec program is for any gymnast who has built a safe and solid foundation in the sport and is ready to be safely challenged. Lessons will begin to incorporate a conditioning & flexibility program designed to challenge, and prepare the body for future skills. Participants will complete this level with a proper handstand, straight cartwheel, backwards roll & more! This class will prepare gymnasts for the Advanced Rec program and serve as a foundation sport for any other athletic activities your child participates in! Athletes will earn their white and silver ribbons in this level. |

Yellow & GoldAge: 7-12 years The Advanced Rec program is for experienced gymnasts who have mastered the basics and have an appropriate level of fitness for the required skills in this class. Lessons will build on the basic skills and conditioning developed in Intermediate rec. Participants will complete this level with all the skills necessary for JO level 1 routines and serve as a foundation sport for any other athletic activities your child participates in! |

Teen RecAge: 13 -17 years This class provides a relaxed and fun atmosphere for all levels from beginner to former competitive. Lessons are structured around individual needs and goals for each participant and allow some unstructured free time during class. Ideal for friends who want to train together! |
Inclusive ClassesAge: 13 -17 years This program has been developed to offer an inviting environment for neuro-diverse participants of all ages, interests and abilities to practice gymnastics. As one of the three foundation sports (the other two being swimming and athletics), gymnastics participation is crucial to the development of fundamental movement patterns and fundamental sport skills, which develop physical literacy.
Instruction will be offered in a small group setting and will be parent/guardian assisted. Our program uses a circuit-style approach with each week working on the following movement skills; shapes & supports, balance & coordination, inversions, rotations, springs and locomotion's. Each class is led by a certified coach and if needed, a certified community support can be accommodated.
